Telecommunications:
- Projects in the area of telematic services and data interchange networks.
- Multi-service integrated networks projects have been developed and implemented in 30 regions. The networks provide various types of data and voice transmission.
- ISDN network projects have been developed and introduced in 15 regions.
- IP-Telephony normative documents have been prepared, based on which the licenses have been issued for over 100 telecom operators.
- The project for distributed registration of domain names in the domain .ru has been developed.
E-business:
- Standard Watch work in the area of e-commerce, EDI, smart cards, etc.
- In co-operation with the Russian Ministry of Trade, RANS members-ISP-providers, content providers, Russian Chamber for Trade and Industry a test zone for e-business is being introduced that includes 4 regions (Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Nizhni Novgorod, Omsk).
- Regulation on the certification centers for Trading Third Parties has been prepared. Three such centers have been established.
- Application "Search for business partner" is being developed as one of services offered by ISPs.
- A number of electronic payment systems are being developed.
Information Security:
- Creation and development of the PKI and information security concept in Russia.
- A draft law on electronic signature has been prepared.
- Hierarchical PKI Infrastructure is being created manages by the Federal Cryptographic Body.
Education and Training:
- Electronic Messaging Technologies Department has been established in Moscow Technical University of Telecommunication and IT, which provides special education to the senior students.
- 2 conferences are held each year dedicated to the present state and prospects of introduction of the Information Security in the Telecommunication Networks and systems and IP-services, IP-technologies. More than 30 conferences have been run.
