ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

On September 25-27, 2002 public - state union "Russian Association for Networks and services" with support of Ministry of Communications of Russian Federation carries out the third international conference "Contemporary condition and perspectives for the development of the Internet in Russia" in hotel "Vatutinki" located near Moscow. Conference is planned as a forum for Internet professionals, Internet users and representatives of federal executive and legislative authorities. In the framework of the conference the exposition is going to run. Rough number of participants of the conference is 500.

Conference themes involve: international organizations Internet activity, information security, development of technologies and applications, normative and legislation issues, realization of scientific and education programs, assistance realization of federal target program "E-Russia". The special place will be given to integration of telecommunication, computer, information and multimedia technologies, perfecting of interaction of communication operators, service providers, content providers, application operators, system integrators.

Programme of the conference includes plenary sessions and work on four parallel tracks. On plenary sessions The conceptual questions of development of the Internet, issues of assistance for realization of state programs in infocommunication area will be considered on plenary sessions. Work on parallel tracks includes reports and discussions on the following basic items:

• telecommunication technologies;
• information technologies;
• content technologies;
• normative and legislation issues;
• information security;
• Internet in Russia.
